Beginners Course
This course is intended for those with very little or no beekeeping knowledge or experience. It will give you enough knowledge to understand what is involved with keeping honeybees and how to look after them. Run by experienced beekeepers it covers all aspects of beekeeping.
It comprises of 10 evening classroom theory sessions and 10 Saturday morning practical sessions allowing you to make a confident start with your beekeeping.
Theory sessions start at 7.30pm on 21 January 2019 and practical sessions start in late April (weather permitting).

The theory course will be held in Hersham Community Centre Hall, Burhill Road, KT12 4BJ and the practicals in our teaching apiary in Ottershaw.
The total cost in 2020 is £160 (£150 for a second person at the same address). This covers tuition for both parts of the course, digital copies of Bee Craft magazine and monthly newsletters of the Weybridge Division during the duration of the course.
Two free ‘Taster Day’ sessions will being held in 2019 on Wednesday 14 August at 6.30pm and on Sunday 18th August at 11am. This will allow prospective beekeepers to have a look inside a hive before committing themselves to the course.
